Surfers Point, Margaret River – Best.View.Ever.

Life in a pandemic world has slimmed our chances of travelling to the places we love. While we’re unable to travel overseas, we’re lucky to have the opportunity to #WanderOutYonder.

So with our new-found relaxed freedom, where did we decide to go?

Where we’d always advise our guest to go.

Margaret River.

There’s just something very comforting about watching the sunset by the beach. Maybe it’s the way that the sun shines onto the waves, or maybe it’s your writer here being a hopeless romantic. Haha!

Anyways, I digress. We headed there on a Saturday evening, and the beach was generally calm.

As it was still winter, the temperature was definitely still cold, but it didn’t stop couples and families from setting up their picnics and enjoying the sunset.

While there, we decided to park ourselves in the grass and enjoy some awesome fish and chips. Luckily for us, Surfers Point is also home to Hooked Up Fish and Chips.

We ordered an incredibly fresh seafood sharing platter. It was a perfect size to carry around and share as we watched the sunset.

In our opinion, the fish and chips was one of the best we’ve tasted, and it’s highly recommended when visiting Margaret River. But do watch out for those seagulls though! They have been known to be quick in snatching away the fish and prawns away from your hands.

Living in Perth city, there is something so calming and unassuming about Margaret River. Surfers Point is an ideal place for reconnecting with one another and just enjoying the company with your loved ones.

No filters needed, the scenery itself is perfection.

Plus, you can take the opportunity to get many insta-worthy shots such as this!

Margaret River is around 3 hours drive away from Perth, so we’d usually recommend it for our longer-staying guest, but it is a definite must-visit if you have the time.

And while you’re there, you can unwind with the breeze at Surfers Point.
