The Margaret River Chocolate Company.
If you’re a chocolate lover, then this chocolate factory is certainly one that shouldn’t be missed!
It’s fully stocked with an array of chocolates, ice creams, drinking cocoa and yes, even chocolate truffle.
Personally, we found the chocolate factory a good respite if you’ve been vineyard-hopping around the Swan Valley region. It’s the perfect place to recuperate from all that wine tasting and shop for chocolate-inspired gifts for you and your loved ones.
Perhaps one of the most famous item in the factory is the cute little chocolate pastelles. They come in many different varies, from 70% dark chocolate to milk chocolate, so there’s really something for everyone! You can even sample these chocolate pastelles at the entrance counter.
Children especially love this place, there is an outdoor park and ample of space for kids to run around and play. It is definitely very well-maintained.
What’s a chocolate factory without its very own cafe and ice cream bar? Not much really!
Luckily, the Margaret River Chocolate Factory knows this, and has come equipped with a wonderful selection of ice creams. We’d highly recommend trying their chocolate ice cream, as it’s their signature.
While you’re here, you can also sit down in their cafe for a nice cup of coffee, or try their signature hot chocolate drink. Apparently, their hot chocolate is one of the best in Western Australia, and we’d like to say we heartily concur!
The cafe also serves breakfasts and light lunches, as well as a selection of cakes, desserts, chocolate fondues. If you’re looking for a great view which you munch, there’s also ample space outdoor which overlooks the park.
The Margaret River Chocolate Company in Swan Valley has solidified itself as a popular choice for visitors. Upon entering the factory, we can safely say that it’s reputation is well-deserved.
The premise is located 27 minutes away from our Hillarys Airbnb, and 29 minutes away from our Fletcher St. Airbnb. We’d definitely recommend not giving this a miss the next time you’re visiting Swan Valley.
