The start of summer in Perth marks the re-opening of many famous markets. One of the original markets is located in the heart of Perth City: The Twilight Hawker Market.
Located in Forrest Place, the market is a foodie heaven. It boasts of food from around the world, and a carefree, fun ambience which is perfect for a Friday evening.

Walking around the market, you would be spoiled for choice. There’s food from Colombia, Germany, Thailand, and plenty more! Some stalls allow you to sample their food if you’re not feeling adventurous to commit.

The market was filled with people, and it was only 5pm on a Friday. There are seats all around the square, but we’d noticed that it did get filled up fairly quickly. So our tip is to go early, especially if you’re travelling with a group.

There is also a section of stalls dedicated to desserts: from Greek Donuts, to Crepes, and Japanese Fluffy Pancakes, what better way to cool off on a hot summer evening?
Perth is a multicultural city, and it’s certainly lovely to see the array of food displayed in the market. After all, isn’t our love for food what binds us together?
The Twilight Hawkers Market is 23 minutes away from our Hillarys Homestay, and 24 minutes away from our Fletcher St. Homestay. If you’re a foodie, then this is one market not to be missed.
