Situated not far from Perth City Center is el PÚBLICO, a Mexican restaurant that boasts excellent food, good drinks selection, and overall good vibes.
In our opinion, el PÚBLICO is one of the best Mexican restaurants in Perth. Their tequila menu is impressive to say the least – with an array of cocktails and mezcals for patrons to enjoy.
But what makes this restaurant so special is how tasty the food is. We enjoyed everything we’ve ordered. El Publico’s bar menu features tasty and simply Mexican street food like street corn, fried chickpeas, and a cuttlefish tostada.
Don’t even get me started on the tacos.
We ordered a fish taco and a pork belly taco, and it was pretty epic. They are a MUST try.
Besides tacos, other notable food mentions is the Beef Mogo Mogo Balls and Chipotle Potatoes. The potatoes comes with bits of chorizo the beef balls had an amazing sauce that went very well with it. Overall, it was a very enjoyable dish.
Ambiance wise, el PÚBLICO’s decor had a nice ‘Day of the Dead’ funky vibes. It’s a great place to go to with friends or with a significant other.
el PÚBLICO is a great Mexican place where good food and drinks is at the heart of what they do. The place does get filled up rather quickly! So we’d advice to make a reservation at least 2 weeks in advance for a table if you’re interested in giving this amazing Mexican restaurant a try.
The restaurant is 24 minutes away from our Hillarys Homestay, and 25 minutes away from our Fletcher St. Homestay. It’s definitely a restaurant to try out!
