Turquoise Bay – A Blue Oasis.

There’s a reason why Turquoise Bay in Exmouth was voted one of the best beaches in the world.

From its perfect waves to its crystal blue waters. This beach should certainly be on everyone’s bucket list.

Turquoise Bay is around 50 minutes away from Exmouth Town, but don’t let the distance deter you. It’s a beautiful beach that’s perfect for swimming and snorkelling.

A word of advice for our guests though, Turquoise Bay is best enjoyed in the morning – so go early! We arrived at 10.30 am on a colder September month, but it can get quite hot pretty early during summer. Our advice is to be in Turquoise Bay before 8 am if you’re planning to go during summer.

Plus, parking spaces fill up quickly later during the day. There was almost no parking around 12 pm when we were there.

Parking in the afternoon is hard to find.

Turquoise Bay is located in Cape Range National Park. During your drive, you will pass a toll-like checkpoint where you’ll need to pay a $15 day-pass per vehicle. This day pass allows you to enter the park and visit all it has to offer

Once you get to the bay though, you’ll be greeted with lots of education and warning signs about the bay.

The entrance to the bay was superbly nice though. Safe to say, we were itching for a swim.

The view of the bay itself was spectacular – one that’s certain to take your breath away. Because the water was very calm, it’s the perfect beach for young children to swim and snorkel.

This is certainly a family beach where you can pitch an umbrella, set up some snacks, and enjoy a good family day at the beach.

Calm waters

As for snorkelling, there are plenty of fishes and sea creatures to see, like manta rays, beautiful corals, and turtles. The deeper you go into the ocean, the more exotic creatures you’ll find!

The water is so incredibly clear!

Overall, Turquoise Bay is a must-go if you’re in Exmouth. Its stunning colour and pristine waters guarantee a perfect swim. We certainly can’t wait to go back there again :).
