Yates Springtime Festival At Araluen Botanical Park

Spring is officially here! Can you feel the weather warming up?

With the warming weather, there’s no better place to be than outdoors. We decided to pay Araluen Botanic Park to experience their tulip festival.

Otherwise known as the Yates Springtime Festival, Araluen’s tulip festival is one of the most popular excursions for locals. We were lucky that the weather was lovely and sunny.

Entry for the festival is $12 per person, which is only right considering the park is very well maintained. There’s also plenty of food trucks with Japanese bites, burgers, ice creams, cold drinks, and many more.

We were provided a map upon entry, and we could even use an app to track where we were. While the park isn’t massive, we did find the map handy at times.

Many families, including us, packed their own picnic baskets and set them up on the front lawn. The lawn itself was crowded, but there were many other quieter spaces around the park, which also proved to be great picnic spots.

Children will enjoy Araluen, with plenty of activities and space to run about. There was a ‘fairy’ meet and greet happening while we were there.

Throughout the space, there were many different types of plants displayed, and we think any plant lover would enjoy exploring the area.

Araluen’s tulip festival is only available yearly from August to October, but visitors can still take in many native plants at other times of the year. Do give this place a visit if you’re in Perth.
