As locals who live in Perth, we often overlook the understated beauty that’s right in front of us, and none more so than Kings Park.
With the weather cooling down, we decided its a good time to take a stroll around Perth’s national park and admire all it has to offer.

Kings Park is a 399.9-hectare park overlooking Perth’s CBD and the iconic Perth river. The park is a beautiful mixture of grassed parkland, botanical gardens and natural bushland. It’s also home to an extensive display of native flora that’s unique to Western Australia.

As you venture further into the park, you can see many amazing displays of wildflower and occasionally get glimpses of scenic Perth skyscrapers. The park itself is easy to navigate, with plenty of signs and amenities.
There is also a bridge called the ‘Lotterywest Federation Walkway‘, which is certainly a famous spot for all your Instagram photos!

The main area of Kings Park is an open space overlooking the Perth CBD. Since it was a lovely sunny day, there were plenty of families picnicking in the open space and enjoying the sunlight.

And of course, you get to enjoy this amazing view.

Kings Park is open every day and entry is free. We highly recommend it if you’re visiting Perth. Wether you’re looking for a fun family day out, or simply a romantic stroll, this park is certainly not to be skipped.
