We’ve had the pleasure of recently visiting a popular brewery in town: Gage Roads in Fremantle.

As we walked in on a Sunday, the atmosphere was bustling! The brewery itself has a typical shade-like style, which gives off a super relaxed vibe. The place was filled with families, teenagers, and even dogs!

Unlike most places in Perth, you do not need a booking to dine in Gage Roads. However, we do encourage you to visit the brewery during its opening times to get a good seat, particularly on weekends.
We know that the seats around the playground are especially popular, so be sure to come early (11am opening time) if you’re eyeing those spots!

We sat outdoors because it was a beautiful day! The view was amazing, as you could see multiple boats and container ships cruising the Fremantle Harbour. Because Freo is a shipping port, even the seas were bustling!

As for food, we order some great bar usuals like mushroom pizza, tacos, nachos, and a seriously good slow-cooked beef. For those with a sweet tooth, Gage Roads also has an ice cream bar that you treat yourself with.

Gage Roads is an ideal place if you’re looking for a brewery by the water with some good food and good music. It’s also extremely family-friendly, with a nice playground for little children.
We’d certainly recommend this as a spot to check out the next time you’re in Freo. The brewery is open everyday from 11am till late.
