WA Maritime Museum – Sea History

If you’re in Fremantle, then pay a visit to one of Perth’s most well-loved museums, the WA Maritime Museum.

Located just next to Gage Roads Brewery, the museum is extremely fun for sea-lovers. Fremantle is historically a well-known shipping and cargo pot in Australia, and the museum showcases the best of it.

The museum has two floors, both equally filled with interesting exhibitions on Western Australia’s maritime history. You’ll get insights on what happens on the dock, marine life, and even our oil and gas resources history.

The museum is highly kid-friendly, with plenty of interactive elements for children to play with. There is also a cafe with food and drinks.

For something extra special, there is a 360-degree dome exhibition that has a show at certain times of the day. It is an immersive experience that should not be missed, but there are only 22 seats in the dome, so they can fill up rather quickly!

Here are some of the snaps we took inside the museum.

Overall, we think the museum is a fun place to be in Fremantle, and we highly recommend it on your next visit to Perth!
