Recently, we had the pleasure of visiting a highly popular attraction in Perth, the WA Museum Boola Bardip.
The museum focuses on WA’s rich culture, heritage, and natural resources. As residents of Perth, we found it highly fascinating to see how WA interacts with the rest of the world.
The museum has 3 floors, with permanent and temporary exhibitions located throughout the space. Some of the notable exhibitions were ‘Wild Life’, ‘Connections’, and ‘Change’ – each with its unique exhibitions and attractive displays of life in Western Australia.

For those wanting to join a tour, there are also various guided tours available, and entry is free with the purchase of a ticket. The guided tours will start on the ground floor next to the information counter and ticket purchase.

We thought it was an interesting insight into Western Australia, particularly its diversity, landscape, wildlife, and future. There is also a cafe and a plenty of kid-friendly areas around the museum, making it very inclusive for a family day out.
Here are just some of the things to see at the museum.

The museum is exceptional, and we particularly enjoyed that each exhibition had descriptions that sparked a debate on bigger questions that have yet to be solved (i.e. how does WA accommodate mining growth while still preserving its natural resources).
If you’re a big thinker, or are simply looking for something to do indoors while in Perth, we highly encourage you to pay the museum a visit.
If you’re looking for accommodation for your stay in Perth, check out our homestay and send us a DM on Facebook for booking enquiries.
WA Museum Boola Bardip opens every day from 9.30am – 5pm. Tickets can be bought on the Ground floor entrance of the museum.
