Recently we had the pleasure of visiting Cape Aird Rooms, one of the better known places for high tea in Perth.
Located in the State Building, the space has an amazing display of rooms with a comfortable lounge seating. There is also walls adorned by ink paintings, giving it that high end vibe.

We were seated at a cosy spot for 4 people, and were immediately given a selection of teas to drink from. The list was extensive, with a full range of oolong, green, and black teas.
There was also alcohol and coffee, and these were fully refillable throughout the course of the high tea.
Then came the selection of foods.

The food selection is an amazing range of savoury and sweet, and probably one of the best we’ve eaten in Perth. The scones were a standout, and each item featured ingredients from different parts of Western Australia.
Their menu changes seasonally, and a full list of their food and drinks can be found on their website.
We leisurely enjoyed our 2 hour seating, and changed a few tea selections to try different flavours. Overall, we highly recommend it for high tea lovers and groups of friends who want to experience something special.
Cape Arid Rooms’ high tea is priced at $85 per person.
