Wayfinder Cellar Door and Restaurant has been opened since March 2024, so they aren’t exactly your new kids on the block.
But as visitors to the Margaret River Region once a year, this was a new place for us. And it didn’t disappoint!
Wayfinder is situated amongst the cafes and boutiques along Naturaliste Terrace, and it quickly became busy on a Friday night in November (being the only one open). Fortunately, we had made a booking prior to arriving.
The staff was highly attentive, and we were seated immediately.

The interior is amazingly done, with wine displays and low lighting for intimate settings. We would say that this place is designed for adult groups and couples rather than families with children.

The food and wine selection was amazing. For wine, Wayfinder combines a local and international selection (one of the few places in Margaret River that does!).

We chose the house-baked sourdough and kingfish for starters. Then we moved on to the beef sirloin with the spiced potatoes and salad for sides. The food was nicely prepared, and the beef is certainly recommended if you’re visiting the restaurant.
Overall, it is a great place to visit for an intimate dinner setting, we’ll definitely be back for a second round for other dishes.
